Introduction
Whenever TurnKey is first used by the Customer (e.g. when a new Customer addresses the Lender for the first time), the Customer’s profile is created in TurnKey Lender.
The list of optional and mandatory fields collected depends on the chosen edition, company policies, and (if applicable) requirements of integrated service providers. The list of fields is defined in the application form.
How the Customer account can be registered
The Customer can be registered:
Created from the Front-Office (from the Welcome page)
Created rom the Back-Office / + New Application: All
Created from the Back-Office / Customer Management
Imported via Excel
Imported via API
Register Customer from the Welcome Page
When a potential Customer comes to the Lender’s Website integrated with TurnKey Lender, they can log in to the Customer Portal or register in the system.
Register Customer from creating a Loan Application
When a Back-Office User creates a Loan Application, they can assign it to an existing Customer or create a new Customer.
Register Customer from Customer Management
In the Tools → Customer Management, a Customer can be created even without a loan.
It is enough to enter an Email to get the customer in the system. This is convenient for saving leads or transferring Customer details from non-digitalized records.
However, when the Customer’s details are edited or if a new Loan is created for this Customer, all mandatory fields have to be added.
In the window that comes up, define the Customer’s Email and proceed to add other Customer details in compliance with the application form.
Import Customers
If a client already possesses a Customer list or utilizes an alternative or no Web interface for customer interactions, they can register these Customers in TurnKey Lender via data import.
Customer data can be imported into the system either through API or Excel. These import functions allow for the addition of multiple Customers simultaneously. When importing, you can any part of the Customer details - the only mandatory field is the Customer's email, regardless of other fields deemed mandatory in the application form.
To add new Loan Applications for a Customer, all mandatory fields as per the application form must be completed; otherwise, the loan application will be saved in the Pre-Origination status.
However, these fields are not necessary for adding details of a disbursed Loan. This ensures that Loans previously disbursed without some checks now implemented in TurnKey Lender can still be processed effectively.
Import from Excel
To import Customers with an Excel file, go to Tools → Import → Customers.
