How to import payments in TurnKey Lender
You can import external data batches with repayment transactions to your TurnKey Lender portal. It may be useful in case it is necessary to include the data generated outside the System:
Transfer external data
Perform error checking
Import the necessary payment info.
Note
Only Admin, Loan Manager, and Collector roles have permissions to perform payments import.
Now we'll walk you through it, step-by-step.
Step 1 - Make sure your file has the appropriate format and structure
You have to prepare the external file before starting the import process. To do this, you have to check the file format for matching and organize the info inside the document correctly.
Important
TurnKey Lender supports only XLS and CSV file formats for external import.
After checking the file format, you have to manage the internal structure of the file in order to make it compatible.
Check the column order inside the document. It must have the following structure:
Loan ID
Date
Amount
Reference #
Payment type (DirectBankTransfer, Cash, Check, Card)
You can use the default template attached below:
2. Check the information type inside each column. Note that each column has its own data type and you will get an error if it’s not correct.
Note
For more information about field types, see the Additional requirements and troubleshooting page.
Step 2 - Upload the external file to TurnKey Lender
When you're ready to import the file with repayment data, follow these steps.

3. On the Tools tab, choose the Import Payments option on the left sidebar, and then press the Choose File button.

Wait for the file to be uploaded to the system. The upload process may take some time depending on the size of the document.
Step 3 - Check and validate the information
After successful file upload, you can review the results using the system interface.
TurnKey Lender displays an additional column with error notifications. It provides information about the records that will be skipped during import.
Step 4 - Perform final synchronization

In the Import Payments window, press Import button located below the table.
Wait for the data to be synchronized. You will see the notification about successful process completion.
